Hyde Hall

Fall under the spell of historic Hyde Hall during your 50 minute guided tour. Learn about the construction, decline and resurrection of this majestic 50 room country house which has overlooked James Fenimore Cooper's fabled "Glimmerglass" for over 200 years. In the mansion see "the finest two rooms built in a private home in America prior to 1840." Marvel at the many original furnishings. Hear the stories of how 5 generations lived on the Hyde Hall estate from 1819 until 1943.

Hyde Hall is located in beautiful Glimmerglass State Park. Entrance for Hyde Hall is now at the Tin Top Visitor Center via the Mill Road entrance. Follow the signs off County Highway 31 onto Mill Road (near the entrance to Glimmerglass State Park). Continue one-half mile down Mill Road to the Hyde Hall entrance on your left. The Visitor Center is located in Tin Top, formerly the entrance to the estate, located on County Highway 31.
