Cooperstown Events

Celebrate the season in Cooperstown/Otsego County!

From annual festivals to seasonal concerts, there are plenty of Cooperstown events to get you in the holiday spirit.

Ho, ho, ho! Santa arrives in Cooperstown by sleigh just in time for the holiday season. Join us for this popular Christmas event on November 25th to meet Santa and enjoy refreshments, hot chocolate, and holiday music. Santa will be in residence and greeting children in his Pioneer Park cottage until December 24th.

Stop by Candlelight Evening at the Farmer's Museum on Saturday, December 10, where you can enjoy your favorite holiday tunes and a merry evening illuminated by the soft glow of hundreds of candles. Slip back in time and take a carriage ride pulled by draft horses draped in jingle bells. Bring the little ones to meet Santa Claus, make seasonal crafts, and enjoy free rides on the Empire State Carousel.

There's nothing like a riveting opera performance to get you through the winter! Enjoy classic and modern operas at Foothills Performing Arts and Civic Center in Oneonta, which will present the Metropolitan Opera: Live in HD series, featuring Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, Verdi's La Traviata, and Pushkin's Eugene Onegin, and Kaija Saariaho's L'Amour de Loin.

2017 Hall of Fame induction announcements are coming soon! The Baseball Writers Association of America will vote on eligible players in December, and Baseball Hall of Fame inductees will be announced on January 20th, 2017.
