The Farmers' Museum - Discover Beer Flavors: Hops & Brewing
Join Aaron MacLeod, Director of the Hartwick College Center for Craft Food and Beverage, in historic Bump Tavern at The Farmers' Museum in Cooperstown for a new 3-hour workshop–Beer Flavor: Hops and Brewing.
Learn about the origins of flavor in beer, including influences from raw materials and brewing techniques, as well as identifying common flavors found in beer. Participants will taste and compare unadulterated and "spiked" beers, and learn about off-flavor causes and preventative measures.
This workshop is ideal for home brewers, beer industry professionals, and individuals looking to successfully master beer exams or certifications. (This workshop will use non-alcoholic beer.)
Workshop requires advance registration and is limited to 12 participants. To register, visit FarmersMuseum.org or Eventbrite.com. Class Fee: Museum Members, $22.50 / Non-Members, $25.
