In Gallery A, a collection of works by the late artist, Raymond Han, will be on display as a retrospective of his long career as an accomplished oil painter. Han is well known for his work in the genre of photorealism. Of Korean descent, Raymond Han was born in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1931 and was based in New York City and upstate New York for most of his life, over the years, having studied with Willson Young Stamper, Frank Mason, and Robert Beverly Hale. His work has been exhibited many notable museums and establishments, many of whom also have work of his in their permanent collections. Han passed away in Cooperstown, New York, in 2017. His Estate is represented by Jason McCoy Gallery, New York.
In Gallery B, "Back & Forth" will feature small expressions in watercolor and acrylic by Celia Clark, of Oneonta, NY. Clark was born in Delhi, NY and earned her BFA & MFA from Syracuse University, moving on to teach art in the area. After marrying and raising a family, she has returned renewed a focus on her artwork, earning a signature membership status with the American Watercolor Society, The National Watercolor Society, and the Watercolor USA Honor Society. Her body of work in this exhibit resides somewhere on the spectrum between realism and abstraction, often utilizing expressive mark-making and a multitude of layers.
