Cooperstown Village residents, organizations and businesses may gear up for an old favorite, the Cooperstown Community Yard Sale Day.
This popular event is Saturday, June 1 and anyone within the Village of Cooperstown may participate, according to organizer Rich McCaffery of the Village. This is a joint effort of those requesting it to continue for the fun and how it pulled our community together for a bit of celebration. There is a $15 fee for participation and all participants will be listed on a map for distribution, receive a Yard Sale identifying sign for the week prior, be included in any promotions and automatically registered with the Village Clerk's Office (as per Village request).
Applications are available online at http://richcooperstown.org/yard-sale-day/ or request from email@example.com or 547-5256. The deadline for inclusion on the map listing and in any promotions is Friday, May 17. The application is also available on Facebook at Cooperstown Yard Sale Day where you may complete and submit online or download a form to print and mail. A check is payable to Cooperstown Yard Sale Day and mailed to Rich McCaffery at PO Box 483, Cooperstown, NY 13326. Please note your $15.00 fee covers expenses and ensures a continuation of the sale in the future.
Yard Sale signs, similar to election signs, will be available for pick up at the Deysenroth Funeral Home parking lot, 82 Chestnut Street, Cooperstown on Friday, May 24, 5-6 PM, Saturday, May 25, 9-10 AM.
