Easter Gets Wild in These Parts (Still). From Egg Rolls to Upstate Swag, Spring’s Breaking Loose in Cooperstown
After a winter that brought more nor’easters than we care to count (seriously, who angered Mother Nature?), Cooperstown is finally thawing out—and not quietly. Spring is busting through the snowdrifts like a sugar-fueled bunny on a mission, and we’re here for every muddy, pastel-colored, chocolate-covered second of it.
This April, the Easter Bunny’s not just hopping—he’s going full send. From train rides and egg hunts to beer-fueled festivities and gift shops blooming with Upstate pride, here’s your guide to getting delightfully lost in Cooperstown’s springtime chaos.
Sip, Sparkle, Repeat
Sparkle season starts now. Montezuma Winery is hosting a Permanent Jewelry Pop-Up on April 5 from 1–3 p.m.—so grab a glass of wine, sip something sweet, and treat yourself to a little forever bling.
Because nothing says “spring refresh” like sipping Riesling while getting custom-zapped with sparkle.

EGG-celent Adventures
The Legendary Hyde Hall Easter Egg Hunt is BACK!
Hyde Hall, Glimmerglass State Park
Forget your average backyard egg hunt—Hyde Hall’s version is like the Met Gala for Easter eggs. Golden eggs? You bet. Egg zones for all ages? Absolutely. Competitive parents sprinting in sensible shoes? It’s tradition.
Keep an eye out for Hyde Hall’s own Jonathan Maney, likely yelling something motivational like “Spring into action!” as the museum ramps up for its May reopening. And yes, the Easter Bunny has RSVP’d.
Admission's free; just bring your basket game!

So, What’s the Spring Vibe?
After months of boots, shovels, and frostbitten everything, Cooperstown is bursting back to life with wild abandon. Easter weekend is just the kickoff. From sugar-fueled sprints through egg fields to lazy brunches and plant shopping marathons, this is how we do spring in Otsego County: loud, proud, and just a little bit unhinged (in the best way).
Now go forth and get festive—just maybe bring a raincoat. And a backup basket. And stretchy pants.
