The Greater Oneonta area is a small college town nestled among rolling hills and verdant farm land that harbors both Hartwick College and SUNY Oneonta. The Susquehanna River, which begins in Cooperstown, flows through the center of the area, which is vibrant, brimming with arts, cultural, shopping and a wide variety of dining experiences. It's active, friendly and accessible.

There are an array of local attractions and things to do in Oneonta. Small galleries, artisan shops, a history center and well-preserved 19th century buildings line Main Street, which is also well-populated with cafes, boutiques and friendly people.

The Foothills Performing Arts & Community Center features lively entertainment, from rock to blues, country music and comedy performances. Every new year begins with First Night Oneonta, a celebration of things to come.
