Directions by car
From the west, use Thruway exit 30 at Herkimer (Route 28).
From the east, Thruway exit 29 at Canajoharie (Routes 10, 20 and 80) or Thruway exit 25A and take I-88 to Duanesburg (5 miles), then Route 20 west to 80 south.
From the south, use Routes 1-88 and 28 (Binghamton/ Oneonta/ Cooperstown).
From the southeast, Thruway (Route 87) exit 21 at Catskill, use Routes 145, 20 and 80.

Directions by air
Major airports are located in Albany, Syracuse and Binghamton.

Directions by train
From the west, take Amtrak's Empire service along the Buffalo-Albany route and depart at the Herkimer or Mohawk stations. Rent a car and just head south on Route 28 for about 40 minutes.
From the northeast (including metro New York and Montreal) take Amtrak's Adirondack service along the Montreal-Albany-New York route and depart at the Albany or Utica stations. Rent a car and take the scenic drive just over an hour west.
