Limited Tickets Remain for Cooperstown’s All-Star Gala on July 12


June 28, 2011 - Event at Hall of Fame features food and fun during live showing of All-Star Game

COOPERSTOWN, NY - A Cooperstown tradition is returning to the Baseball Hall of Fame, and baseball fans have just a few more days to secure tickets to one of the Museum's most popular events.

Fans can watch the stars in style at the annual All-Star Gala on Tuesday, July 12, at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. The All-Star Gala provides an evening of family entertainment with prizes, snacks and more for baseball fans of every age as well as Fox's live broadcast of the All-Star Game from Phoenix, Ariz. Doors to the Museum's Grandstand Theater open at 7:30 p.m., with game coverage beginning at 8 p.m. ET.

Fans will be treated to ballpark-style snacks and hot dogs, courtesy of Price Chopper Supermarkets, along with a limited edition commemorative All-Star Gala button for all guests in attendance. Scorecards will be distributed to fans, and official All-Star Game programs will be available for purchase. During the game's inning breaks, fans will be able to compete in a variety of games and trivia contests for an opportunity to win door prizes.

Tickets to the All-Star Gala are now available supporters of the Hall of Fame's Membership Program and cost $10 for adults and $5 for children. Any tickets remaining will be made available to the general public on July 5.

Tickets can be reserved in advance by calling the Museum's Membership Department at 607-547-0397 or by visiting the Membership and Museum Services Desk at the Museum in Cooperstown. To learn more about the Hall of Fame's Membership program and its many benefits, please visit www.baseballhall.org .

The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum is open seven days a week year round, with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. The Museum observes summer hours of 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. from Memorial Day Weekend until the day before Labor Day. From Labor Day until Memorial Day Weekend, the Museum observes daily regular hours of 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Ticket prices are $19.50 for adults (13 and over), $12 for seniors (65 and over) and for those holding current memberships in the VFW, Disabled American Veterans, American Legion and AMVets organizations, and $7 for juniors (ages 7-12).
