Hyde Hall to Open New "Examining the Evidence: 40 Years of Restoration at Hyde Hall" ExhibitMay 18, 2010 - Hyde Hall's Latest Exhibit Opens May 22nd in Cooperstown COOPERSTOWN, NY - Located in Hyde Hall's Visitors' Center, Examining the Evidence explores the investigative methods used in rehabilitating a historic house. It identifies hidden threats that damaged Hyde Hall and highlights the plasterwork, woodwork, and paint analysis needed to return the house to its nineteenth-century splendor. The exhibit is made possible by the Holbrook Internship Fund and designed by Cooperstown Graduate Program students: Christina Conn, Jennie Davy, and Cynthia Walker. SUNY Oneonta in partnership with the New York State Historical Association offers a Master's degree in History Museum Studies at the Cooperstown Graduate Program. Hyde Hall is open for regular tours 7 days a week through October 31st, 2010. Mansion tours are every hour on the hour from 10am-4pm, light permitting. For more information please call (607)547-5098.
