Goslings Hatch at Fly Creek Cider MillMay 6, 2010 - Watch Video of Baby Geese at the Fly Creek Cider Mill FLY CREEK, NY- Spring is definitely in the air at the Fly Creek Cider Mill & Orchard with the sweet smell of apple blossoms and the chirping of newly hatched goslings. Just this week the famous Sebastopol Geese of Fly Creek successfully hatched six eggs and now the goslings are getting their feet wet in the Millpond. Visitors are enjoying the antics of the babies surrounded by their proud yet protective parents. The Mill's Sebastopols are a friendly breed of white goose whose feathers are extremely fluffy and frizzy. At the Mill this Mother's Day Weekend will be Breezie Maples Farm with a focused tasting of their local, organic maple syrup paired with freshly made buttermilk pancakes from Fly Creek Cider Mill's own mix. Treat Mom to the sights, sounds and flavors of spring this weekend with a day out in Fly Creek. The Fly Creek Cider Mill & Orchard is located minutes from Cooperstown, NY and 24 miles south of Herkimer. Open daily 9:00 until 6:00.
