Food for Thought Programs This Summer at The Farmers’ Museum and Fenimore Art Museum


July 11, 2011 - Popular Lecture and Food Series is Back This Summer in Cooperstown, NY

COOPERSTOWN, N.Y.  - Food for Thought, the popular lunch and lecture series, continues its 2011 season with several programs through the summer months. All programs are held on Wednesdays beginning at 12:30 p.m. at the Fenimore Art Museum or The Farmers' Museum.

Food for Thought programs at the Fenimore Art Museum:

July 20           Civil War and Early Militia Regiments

August 10      A Window into Edward Hopper

August 30      Frida Kahlo: Through the Lens of Nickolas Muray

                        *(Please note - this program is scheduled on a Tuesday)

August 31      Painted Chests and the New York Palatines

Sept. 7            Filming The Deerslayer on Otsego Lake

Food for Thought programs at The Farmers' Museum:

July 27           Wondrous Wild Things Growing in Your Own Backyard

August 17      Empire State Carousel

Food for Thought programs are a lunch and lecture series that offers visitors a more in-depth understanding of our exhibits and programs. All programs begin at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesdays and include lunch ($20 for NYSHA members and $25 for non-members). Registration is required at least three days in advance.  Register for 3 or more Food for Thought programs at once and receive a discounted price of $18 members/$23 non-members per program.
