Brewery Ommegang to host Vintage Baseball GameApril 1, 2010 - Vintage Base ball Game held at Brewery Ommegang June 17, 2010 COOPERSTOWN, NY - Cooperstown's two loves come together in our back yard June 17, 2010. Revisit the old days of base ball (prior to the 1900's, it was actually two words), where the fields aren't perfect, there's no strikes called, and the catcher is the only one allowed to wear a glove. Recreating the classic 1861 rules, the Cleveland Blues play the Fitchburg Rollstones in a match right out of the 1870's. This recreation of classic base ball is open for the public to come and enjoy. As always, there will be great beers on tap from Ommegang as well as classic baseball delicacies to enjoy while watching the game. ![]() |
