Sentient Productions will host their very first event at the Oneonta Theatre with 4 awesome regional bands!
Hailing from Central NY, Into Shadow is a band focused on delivering heavy grooves, infectious melodies and striving for an exciting balance between the metal and rock worlds.
The idea for Into Shadow was born by sheer luck. Tyler Logan (drums) and Juan Canteli (guitar) were in a band at the time that shared a bill with Max Scialdone's then band (vocals). After exchanging a few emails and ideas, Max and Juan decided to throw a few songs together as a fun, no pressure side project. Before long though, nearly 30 songs were written and the idea to do a full album was set into motion. Over the course of the next year and a half songs were emailed back and forth, hour long drives were made between houses, and eventually they narrowed the songs down to the final 11 tracks that would ultimately be on the upcoming 'Unknown Darkness' record.
It was at this point that the stars aligned and Tyler Logan (who was living in California for much of the writing) moved back to NY and was quickly enlisted adding is his flawless percussive wizardry to what had already become a daunting album to record.
On May 31st 2014 Into Shadow released their highly anticipated debut album "Unknown Darkness" to an sold our crowd at The Oneonta Theatre in upstate NY.
Formed in December of 2005, MOBDAY originally started as a project between guitarist Jordan Greene and drummer Eric Askew. The intention was to create a band that combined the extreme sides of melody and aggression with a stage show that would leave the audience speechless. The band worked together for a couple years, and rounded out the lineup with vocalist Ryan Nickerson and bassist Alex O'Connor, before independently releasing their album The Beginning: Part II on March 18, 2011. The album was well received by fans and local and regional music critics. Songs like "Save Me", "Forsaken" and "The Vow" are pure energy-driven rockers fit for an arena. The band played numerous shows in support of the album while, at the same time, beginning pre-production for the second album. The band was in the middle of recording the album when they amicably parted ways with founding drummer and their first choice to fill the seat was none other than Ty Gleason. The band became more dynamic with Ty on the kit, combining mutual musical interests and the desire to put on the tightest live show.
In the Fall of 2014, they released their second album, Vertigo, and announced the addition of guitarist Ryan Richards. Ryan was as easy fit for the band as he brings strong stage presence and a common passion of the bands philosophy in music.
MOBDAY was a featured artist in Rock n Roll Industries Magazine issue #9 and was present at Winter NAMM 2014 in Anaheim, CA. They have toured the northeast region extensively playing dozens of national and local venues and have shared the stage with acts including Tantric, Burn Halo, Smile Empty Soul, Hurt, Days of the New, The Ataris and Brand New Sin.
With hundreds of live shows under their belt, MOBDAY is a live act not to be missed whether it be a full on, energetic rock show or a mellow acoustic set with beautiful melodies and vocal harmonies. Their versatility and willingness to do whatever it takes makes MOBDAY a band that is here to stay.
