Cooperstown Winter Carnival - Celebrating 50 Years

The Winter Carnival Committee proudly announces that the 2017 Carnival will be held January 27 through February 4, 2017.

The Cooperstown Winter Carnival (CWC), a long-time traditional winter festival, began in 1967 with the intention of offering a variety of activities for residents and tourists to Cooperstown during the early winter months of January and February. The CWC brings people out into the cold and gives them a reason to celebrate with their friends, neighbors, and visitors. Each year the CWC creates new and exciting events, while bringing the same traditions back that people have come to expect.
The CWC is coordinated by a team of volunteers and involves hundreds of businesses and organizations that provide support, resources, and programs and activities. We look forward to seeing you at the Cooperstown Winter Carnival!

Event Schedule Saturday, January 28th
8:am-11:30am:  Lions Club Pancake Breakfast at the Vet's Club

9am-5pm:  Friends of the Village Library Book Sale at Village Hall

9am-12pm:  Bowling Tournament at Clark Sports Center

10am-4pm:  Winter Carnival Headquarters Open (134 Main Street)

10am-2pm:  Utica Zoomobile at Winter Carnival Headquarters (134 Main Street)

10am-6:30pm:  Ice Skating/Hockey at Badger Park *weather permitting

10am-2pm:  Dessert Lovers Contest at the Cooperstown Farmers' Market

10:30am-11:30am:  FidoFest-SAS Dog Show at Pioneer Park

11am-2pm:  Hot Chocolate and Cider Bar at Winter Carnival Headquarters (134 main Street)

11am-4pm:  Tubing at Glimmerglass State Park *weather permitting

11:30am:  Bob Smullen's 5k/10k at Cooper Park

11:30am-2:30pm:  Hugs for Amelia at Nicoletta's Italian Cafe

12pm-2pm:  K9 Demostration at Cooper Park

12pm-5pm:  Wine Tasting at Cooperstown Wine and Spirits

1pm-2pm:  Cooperstown Candlelight Ghost Tours at Pioneer Park

1pm:  Sled Races at Lake Front Park * weather permitting

2pm:  Golden Nugget Eating Contest at Cooley's Stonehouse Tavern

4pm-9pm:  Fire and Ice Bar at The Otesaga

4pm:  Snow Sculpture Judging throughout the Village

6pm-8pm:  Drink Contest at the Vet's Club

6:30pm:  Cabin Fever Film Series presents "Jungle Book" 1967 at Clark Sports Center

8pm-Close:  Battle of the Bars (21 and over)
