The Ancia Saxophone Quartet

Founded in 1990 and heard on NPR's Performance Today, the Ancia Saxophone Quartet is dedicated to the performance of traditional repertoire and to the creation of new works for saxophone quartet. They have performed and recorded works by such diverse composers as Gershwin, Bach, Duke Ellington, Piazzolla, Ives, Libby Larsen, Scarlatti, and "Jelly Roll" Morton. Known for their artistry and virtuosity, they have also premiered numerous compositions written expressly for the Ancia Saxophone Quartet.

Oneonta, situated just south of Cooperstown in the Susquehanna Valley, is known as the "City of the Hills" and home to the State University College at Oneonta and Hartwick College.
