Gilbert Lake State Park offers year-round recreational opportunities. The park contains over twelve miles of trails available to hikers, skiers and snowshoers. A map for the entire park is available at the park office. The Ice Pond-Lake of the Twin Fawns trail, a loop trail of about two and a half miles, traverses both wooded and open land. It is gently rolling, excellent for skiing and snowshoeing.
