The Farmers' Museum

Season:
  • Seasonal: Apr-Mid May, Late Oct, Tue-Sat 10am-4pm; Late May-Mid Oct, daily 10am-5pm.

America's history comes alive-daily chores are carried out at the working farm while commerce flourishes at the Village Crossroad. Visitors experience the interplay among trades, village life and agriculture in New York State circa 1845. The museum, one of the oldest living history museums, features exhibits, craft demonstrations and hand-on activities that bring history to life.

Main Barn Gardening Exhibit

Guest Curator Caroline Welsh will explore vegetable gardening from the basics to the intensive, with the intent of making the exhibition useful to the general visitor.  Topics include how to start a garden, intensive gardening, school and community gardens, and container gardening.

Explore Cooperstown
Known as baseball’s birthplace, but home to so much more, Cooperstown is a place where legends roam hallowed halls, swing away on diamonds, and take to the stage under a canopy of stars. The historic village boasts a vibrant arts scene, excellent local food and beverage options, luxury accommodations, and, of course, more baseball than you can shake a bat at.
